 !  Come join us for Ashwood Rockstock's 2008 Spring Dig to be held Momorial Day Weekend, May 23 thru 26.

Important Notice:

The area around Ashwood, Oregon (thirty miles northest of Madras) is well-known for it's agate beds, which include Friend Green Moss, Friend Apple Agate, Friend Eggs, Marston Multi-colored Wood Replacement, and McDonald Wood.

Most of these beds, plus a few other, are open for digging all year, provided the weather permits access. These beds are located on working ranches so there may be minimum purchase requirements. For information or to make an appointment, contact the landowner of the bed you wish to visit.

Ranchers near Ashwood, Oregon, are once again hosting their annual Ashwood Rockstock Spring Dig. All rockhounds are welcome. No club affiliation or minimum purchases are required; however, there is a $5 per person or $10 per vehicle participation fee. Dry camping is available at no extra charge.

Ashwood Rockstock's Spring Dig

Date: May 23th thru 26th, 2008

Place: Ashwood, Oregon

This dig is open to all rockhounds. Currently, there are no club memberships or minimum purchases required. This, however, is subject to change. Dry camping is available on the Friend Ranch. Nearest Motels, campgrounds with electrical and water hookups, grocery stores, and fueling stations are 30 miles away in Madras.
