Hi,
Thank you for visiting my Web site. The purpose of this letter is to tell you a little about who I am and how I came to create this site.
My favorite books, movies, and television series have always been westerns. My first cowboy heros were Roy Rogers and Gene Autry. I grew up during the era of Bonanza, Big Valley, Bronco, Cheyenne, Gun Smoke, High Chapparal, Laramie, Lancer, Larado, Maverick, Rawhide, The Rifleman, The Virginian, Wagon, and other western television series. Lancer is my favorite with Laramie running a close second.
I became a rancher's wife, in 1981, and have since lived the life that I dreamed about as a child. When I discovered fan fiction and began my first Lancer story, in the fall of 2001, I fulfilled another dream. Since then, I have written a number of Lancer stories, rhymes, and songs, and have made friends (via Yahoo Groups on the Internet) with Lancer fans from all over the United States and around the world.
In the summer of 2003, I had the privelege of personally meeting two of my new friends (a lady from England and another from Oregon) when they came to visit me. Then in July of 2004, I travelled to Los Angelos and met several more Lancer fans. It was the highlight of my year.
When I started writing, I decided to use a pen name. I chose Desert Sun because it describes who I am. I live on a ranch in the desert country of Central Oregon, and I love the sunshine.
Any talent that I have for writing, I owe to God. My first concern is to please him; therefore, all of my stories are either "G" or "PG" rated. The Web sites that I have chosen to link to are free of "Slash" and "X-rated" material. If the site has adult content that would be rated "NC-17", those stories are clearly marked. I would appreciate being notified if you do not find this to be the case.
Thank you for visiting my Web site. I trust you have enjoyed the stories. Any and all feedback is appreciated. Contact information is at the bottom of this page.
May God be with you,
Desert Sun
